Welcome to the Ozark Foothills Blog.  We use this platform to support our Northwest Arkansas Smocking Arts Guild (SAGA). The Ozark Foothills SAGA meets on the 4th Tuesday at 6:00 at the Fayetteville Library in the Ann Henry Boardroom.   During this past year we have supported a class from Claudia Newton who taught her wonderful creation, Sweet Sophia dress.  Each month at our meetings we have a class taught by one of our members to learn a new technique, or increase our knowledge of a technique.  We participate strongly in the Wee Care program supported by the National SAGA members.  One Saturday in March we spent several hours cutting out and sewing wee care gowns to donate to one of our local hospital NICU units.  Each November we rent a local house to hold a member retreat during a beautiful fall weekend.  This year we will hold the retreat on Nov 11-13 at a Vacation Rental house in Bella Vista.  This weekend gives members the opportunity to get away, sew on some of their projects and work on projects for the chapter.
If you are interested in learning more about embroidery, check out this website to view Erica Wilson's embroidery tutorials.  These are very old, but the information is very current.  www.openvault.wgbh.org

We invite anyone who is interested in sewing to contact us for further information at 479-633-3262.
